On Monday June 11th we launched a t-shirt in support of Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue and, in particular, this sweet little guy named Rugby.

Rugby was adopted in January 2012 to a family in New York. At that time, Rugby was walking and even running! Several months later, however, Rugby’s family notified Abandoned Angels that he was having difficulty walking. X-rays were taken but did not reveal anything, so an MRI was recommended. Rugby’s adopters then returned him to Abandoned Angels. With the help of the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals, Abandoned Angels was able to get an MRI for Rugby. The results indicate a blown disc within Rugby’s cervical spine. Rugby is currently on pain medication and cage rest until Abandoned Angels can afford his surgery (approximately $4,000).
